How it Works

Sleep Solution’s FDA-approved NovaSom® QSG® allows patients to undergo testing for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) in the comfort and privacy of their own home. The NovaSom QSG has been clinically proven with a 96% correlation to in-lab Polysomnography (PSG). Plus, the “first night” effect is virtually eliminated. The test device is delivered directly to the patient's home and then returned to Sleep Solutions, where the data is analyzed and a comprehensive report generated for the diagnosing physician.

Sleep Solutions’ MediTrack® System provides secure, patient-reported health information and outcomes tracking services to aid therapeutic decisions and disease state management. Ordering physicians receive health status feedback and a follow-up assessment with comparative baseline and post-treatment health information.

Sleep Solutions streamlines the delivery of both diagnostic and treatment services with a complete solution to identify and care for patients with OSA. Upon request, Sleep Solutions can also provide health status feedback and a follow-up assessment with comparative baseline and post-treatment health information.

Clinical efficacy and accreditation

The NovaSom® QSG® has been clinically validated against the Polysomnography (PSG) in studies published in the journals Sleep Medicine and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. These validation studies earned the highest quality ranking according to The American Academy of Sleep Medicine, The American Thoracic Society and The American College of Chest Physicians

The NovaSom® QSG® has been used in more than 10,00 patient tests during the last three years. Over 91% of the patients rated the system easy-to-use, with the vast majority eager to test at home and very satisfied with the service.

The NovaSom QSG meets The American Academy of Sleep Medicine criteria for a level 3 Cardiorespiratory device and provides all the parameters necessary to provide a definitive diagnosis of OSA.

Case Studies

After adopting a medical policy allowing for the use of portable sleep study devices, the Veteran’s Administration Health System has experienced considerable financial benefits and no significant clinical problems. Since 2002, Sleep Solutions, Inc. has completed over 9000 at-home studies for the VA at an approximate savings of 6.75 million dollars. And just as importantly, brought greater comfort and therefore compliance to OSA testing and treatment.
