| Dear Dr. Sample A. Sample,
As an Otolaryngologist, I see a growing number of patients suffering from snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). In an attempt to contain costs to our tax dollars and avoid delays in getting treatment started, I’ve utilized Sleep Solution Inc.’s (SSI) at-home sleep study program for the past 5 years. SSI’s clinically-validated OSA-related services, which include testing, interpretation, titration, CPAP therapy, and patient management, improves the OSA patient experience and reduces the strain on always-limited VA resources.

Sleep Solutions is currently the VA’s largest provider of home sleep study services with over 4,000 studies performed in 2005 alone. A number of VA hospitals throughout the country are enhancing their patients’ experience while saving critical time and money with this valuable resource. In fact, these hospitals have reported approximately $6.75 million dollars in savings with in-home studies. More importantly, thousand of patients are avoiding the co-morbidities that result from delays in OSA treatment.
Sleep Solution’s FDA-approved NovaSom QSG, has been clinically proven with a 96% correlation to in-lab Polysomnography (PSG). There are also the obvious benefits of in-home testing such as the elimination of the “first night” effect. The simplicity of the NovaSom QSG allows for three nights of testing in the patients home. Plus, the Sleep Solutions suite of services, including overnight pulse oximetry testing, meets all of my requirements for managing OSA patients.
The need for VA resources has never been greater so I encourage you to learn more about Sleep Solution’s extensive services today. You can call my contact at SSI, Bob Freeman, at 877-753-3775. He can answer all of your questions or even meet with you in person. You can also visit the special VA website page at www.sleepsolutions.com/VA for more information, or drop me an e-mail message.
Sincerely,
Darrell Hunsaker, MD, FACS
